This light source apparatus has a plurality of LED modules aligned in a specified direction. Each of the LED modules is provided with a long mounting substrate, and a plurality of LED chips. The mounting substrate is provided with a long heat conductive section, and a wiring pattern, which is formed of a conductive plate, and which has the LED chips electrically connected thereto. The wiring pattern has a terminal piece for electrically connecting the LED modules to each other, and the heat conductive section has a cutout portion for exposing the terminal piece. The terminal piece and the cutout portion are disposed on one end side of both the mounting substrate end portions in the longitudinal direction, said one end side being in the width direction. The LED modules adjacent to each other are disposed such that the terminal pieces thereof face each other, and the LED modules are electrically connected to each other by having a conductive member disposed to cover the facing terminal pieces, and by having the terminal pieces plastically deformed to hold the facing terminal pieces. |
