This disclosure concerns computer-implemented methods and computer systems for validating virtual entities of a multi-user application on a network with multiple peers. State information of a virtual entity of a first peer is determined. A validator is selected for the virtual entity based on one or more selection criteria, wherein the validator is selected from (i) the first peer; (ii) a regular peer of the first peer; and (iii) a trusted peer of the first peer. The state information of the virtual entity is sent to both the first peer and the validator such that the first peer sends subsequent user inputs relating to the virtual entity to the validator, and the validator updates the state information of the virtual entity based on the user inputs and sends the updated state information to another peer on the network. |
