The method involves sending a standard analog signal towards a standard input (4), where the analog signal is provided by a standard signal generator (2). The standard generator is allowed to generate another standard analog signal, where the latter analog signal comprises a value that is lower than a value of the former analog signal. A value of an output signal is varied with regard to another input (8) until value of input signals or standard analog signals is equal to a stored value. The above steps are repeated until obtaining a stable calibration. An independent claim is also included for a measuring equipment.
