SBC FOR CLOUD ENVIRONMENT AND METHOD FOR OPERATING SBC

The method for operating a session boarder controller (SBC), according to one embodiment of the present invention, is carried out by an SBC which operates in a cloud network which can access the Internet through a network address translation (NAT). The SBC can connect to a soft switch (SSW) through the Internet and carry out an address translation in order to provide a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP). The method for operating the SBC comprises the steps of: (a) identifying a terminal private Internet protocol (IP) address which is used in the cloud network and a terminal public IP address which is distinguished in relation to the NAT; and (b) analyzing a packet for VoIP communication when the packet is received from a source VoIP terminal and updating channel-related address information for establishing a channel to a target VoIP terminal included in the packet, by reflecting the terminal public IP address.
