An apparatus for manufacturing a contact tip for a welding torch using a forging method is disclosed. The contact tip for a welding torch using a forging method according to the present invention comprises a body part, a connection part which has a smaller outer diameter than the body part and which is connected to a gas diffuser of a welding torch, and a head part which is formed on the opposite side of the connection part. The contact tip for a welding torch using a forging method includes a body part hole, a connection part hole, and a head part hole which penetrate the center of the contact tip. The apparatus for manufacturing the contact tip for a welding torch using a forging method includes: a connection part mold assembly which molds a first molding matter in which a first connection part hole is formed by pressing a base material; a body part hole mold assembly which molds a second molding matter in which a second body part hole is formed by pressing the center of the first molding matter; a communicating mold assembly which forms a third molding matter in which the first connection part hole and the second body part hole are communicated by pressing the center of the second molding matter; a head part mold assembly which locates, in the third molding matter, a finishing pin greater than or equal to the diameter of the welding wire and forms a fourth molding matter in which a fourth head part hole is formed while pressing the third molding matter. According to the present invention, a base material with the circular cross-section can be used, and the load on each molding protrusion can significantly ease because the diameter and shape of the base material is not sharply changed at the time of molding the connection part and the connection part hole. Therefore, the danger of molding protrusion damage is reduced, and then the productivity can be increased. |
