PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of bringing an absorbent core closely in contact with a wearer's body by contraction of an elastic member while inhibiting deformation of block structures of the absorbent core caused by the contraction of the elastic member.SOLUTION: An absorbent article has two stretch areas C1 and C2, and D1 and D2 where elastic members 34 and 35 are fixed in the extended state, and two non-stretch areas C3 and D3 located between the two stretch areas along the lateral direction. An absorbent core 22 is composed of a block area and a non-block area 216 located outward in the longitudinal direction or in the lateral direction of the block area. The block area is composed of high basis-weight parts 214a and low basis-weight parts 214b. The non-block area 216 has fixed thickness and basis weight. The block areas are disposed in the non-stretch areas C3 and D3. Fixed ends of the elastic members 34 and 35 are located in the non-block area 216. |
