PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a molten glass gob from contacting with a molding surface of a molding mold during flotation molding.SOLUTION: An apparatus for producing a glass gob comprises: a molding mold capable of spurting gas from the molding surface so that a molten glass gob floats from the molding surface; a molten glass supply means to supply a molten glass flow onto the molding mold; a gas supply means to supply the gas to the molding mold; a molding mold driving means to drive the molding mold up and down when the molten glass flow is supplied onto the molding mold; and an acceleration acquiring means to acquire the acceleration of the molding mold, wherein the gas supply means controls the supply of the gas to the molding mold based on the acceleration of the molding mold. |
