PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an outboard motor to be prepared for the re-acceleration by rapidly and automatically executing the trim-down drive of the outboard motor in a deceleration mode.SOLUTION: In an automatic trim-down mode, a control device 52 performs the automatic trim-down drive of an outboard motor when the throttle opening to be detected by a throttle opening detector 62 is equal to or less than the predetermined value of the throttle opening. Thus, the outboard motor is rapidly subjected to the automatic trim-down drive compared with the trim-down drive based on the engine speed in a deceleration mode, and the outboard motor is allowed to be prepared for the re-acceleration. Further, when the outboard motor is subjected to the automatic trim-down drive, the outboard motor is subjected to the slow trim-down drive compared with the rapid deceleration mode in a slow deceleration mode, and any sense of incongruity is given to a ship operator. |
