PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid amplification reaction apparatus.SOLUTION: The invention provides a nucleic acid amplification reaction apparatus comprising a mounting part capable of mounting a nucleic acid amplification reaction container filled with a nucleic acid amplification reaction liquid and a liquid which has a specific gravity smaller than the nucleic acid amplification reaction liquid and does not mix with the nucleic acid amplification reaction liquid; a temperature control part which controls the temperature of each of first and second areas of the nucleic acid amplification reaction container; and a drive mechanism which switches an arrangement in which the first area is arranged below the second area with respect to the direction of action of gravity, and an arrangement in which the second area is arranged below the first area with respect to the direction of action of gravity; wherein after a heat cycle is performed to the nucleic acid amplification reaction liquid which comprises first and second primer pairs, and in which an overlap of the temperature region capable of annealing the first primer pair with the first nucleic acid and the temperature region capable of annealing the second primer pair with the second nucleic acid is 10°C or less, under the condition that the first and second areas are respectively set to a first temperature and a second temperature lower than the first temperature, the heat cycle is performed under the condition that the first and the second area are respectively set to a third temperature and a fourth temperature which is lower than the third temperature and is different from the second temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
