PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel position detecting device the electric power consumption of which can be further suppressed.SOLUTION: A wheel position detecting device obtains gear information indicating teeth positions of gears 12a to 12d based on detection signals of wheel speed sensors 11a to 11d and detects wheel positions based on the gear information at the receiving timing of a frame. Upon detecting wheel positions by the above procedure, a frame is transmitted when the value of a gravitational acceleration component included in a detection signal of an acceleration sensor shows a continuous decrease each time of detection. That is, the device does not directly detect an angle of the acceleration sensor included in a transmitter 2 but detects the transmission timing based on only an increase/decrease direction of the value of the gravitational acceleration component included in the detection signal of the acceleration sensor and transmits a frame. Thereby, constant acceleration detection by the acceleration sensor is unnecessary and consumption of electric power can be suppressed. |
