PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an in-vehicle internal combustion engine capable of minimizing a reduction speed of the highest speed when stopping current-carrying to a motor of a variable valve train.SOLUTION: An in-vehicle internal combustion engine is provided with a variable valve train having a variable mechanism 300 for changing a maximum lift quantity and a valve opening period of an intake valve and an electric motor 210 for driving the variable mechanism 300, and changing a valve characteristic in a direction for reducing a suction air volume by the reaction of a spring for energizing the intake valve in the valve closing direction when stopping the current-carrying to the motor 210. A control device 500 executes limiting processing for reducing an engine rotating speed in current-carrying stopping more than an engine rotating speed corresponding to an operation quantity of an accelerator operation member when executing the current-carrying stopping to the motor 210. |
