PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical low-pass filter that can be reduced in size with high accuracy at low costs and has a small haze value, and imaging equipment.SOLUTION: An optical low-pass filter according to the present invention includes a separation element that separates incident light into a plurality of rays of light by using birefringence of a liquid crystal. The separation element has a liquid crystal layer formed by using a liquid crystal that has a relation between the desired maximum separation width [μm] and a refractive index difference that is a difference in refractive index between abnormal light and normal light satisfying the following conditional expression (A1); and a haze value of the separation element is equal to or less than 2.0. Conditional expression (A1): (1.2/separation width)≤refractive index difference. |
