PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder including a paper feed roller for feeding paper sheets placed and stored in a paper feed cassette in order from the uppermost-positioned sheet, and a separating roller which comes in press contact with the paper feed roller in which the rotating shaft of the separating roller is supported at both ends, and the separating roller can be easily detached.SOLUTION: A support member 9 which freely rotatably supports one side of a rotating shaft 67 is moved between a first position to support the rotating shaft 67 and a second position separated from the rotating shaft 67 in accordance with the loading/ejection of a paper feed cassette 7 to/from a paper feeder body 6. In this case, it is preferable that the separating roller 82 is configured to, when the paper feed cassette 7 is ejected from the paper feeder body 6, move from a press-contact position where the roller comes in press contact with the paper feeder roller 81 to a separation position, meanwhile, when the paper feed cassette 7 is loaded into the paper feeder body 6, move from the separation position to the press-contact position. |
