PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead type image reading device allowing suppression of glare.SOLUTION: An overhead type scanner 1 includes an imaging unit 22 that photographs a medium S to be read mounted on a mounting surface 2 from above, and a light source 21 that is arranged to be capable of irradiating the medium S with light during photographing by the imaging unit 22. A control device 40 of the overhead type scanner 1 performs anti-glare control when detected that the medium S has glossiness. Accordingly, the overhead type scanner 1 can be suppressed from causing glare to a user during operation. |
