PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck configured so that clamping claws are surely held at a predetermined position when a workpiece is unclamped.SOLUTION: A groove part is arranged on a rear body 4 constituting a chuck body 2 and when a workpiece is unclamped, a slope 37 which is formed on a claw opening/closing member 11 to be rocked in a radial direction of the chuck when a driving member 6 is moved, is fitted in the groove part 39 to prevent the claw opening/closing member 11 from being turned around an axis thereof. Accordingly, when the workpiece is unclamped, the clamping claws 17 can surely be held continuously at the predetermined position, since the slope 36 of an axial part 19 of the claw opening/closing member 11 is not parted from the groove part 39 so far as the driving member 6 is not moved even when impact force by an impact from the workpiece W or the like is applied to the clamping claws 17 or the claw opening/closing member 11. |
