PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus purifying water by easily and efficiently sterilizing water stored and conveyed.SOLUTION: A water treatment apparatus A comprises, in a housing 2 for storing treated water 1 therein, a photocatalyst carrier 3 carrying a photocatalyst, a piezoelectric element 5 converting a pressure into electricity, and a light-emitting part 4 emitting light by the supply of electricity from the piezoelectric element 5 and irradiating the photocatalyst carrier 3 with the light generated by the light emission. The piezoelectric element 5 and the light-emitting part 4 are actuated while receiving the pressure from the treated water 1 by the transport of the housing 2, and the photocatalyst is activated. In the water treatment apparatus A, ballast water of a ship can be purified. |
