PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle configured to reduce the adjustment of clearance between a sliding side door and a structure.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle 1 includes a side doorway peripheral member 7 surrounding a side doorway 2, and a sliding side door 3. The side doorway peripheral member 7 has a door pocket column 6 with a double-skin structure in which an outer surface portion 61 and an inner surface portion 62 arranged to the inside of the outer surface portion 61 in the width direction of the vehicle are connected via a connecting portion 63. When the side doorway 2 is closed, the peripheral edge portion of the sliding side door 3 is pressed against the edge portion of the side doorway peripheral member 7 along the side doorway 2 via a rubber seal 4. When the side doorway 2 is opened, the peripheral edge portion is drawn into a door pocket space 10 facing the inner surface portion 62 of the door pocket column 6. The upper side and lower side of the edge portion of the side doorway peripheral member 7 protrude into at least a portion of the area facing the door pocket column beyond the inner side portion 62 and towards the inside in the width direction of the vehicle. A protruding portion 65 is provided at the end, which comes into contact with the rubber seal 4. |
