PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid supply power shortage to an electric load group driven only by electric power of a sub-battery during torque assist.SOLUTION: A torque assist control device is provided with: an electric motor 1 for torque assist; a first battery 3 for supplying electric power to the electric motor 1 during torque assist; a second battery 4 for supplying electric power to a second electric load group 10 during torque assist; a relay 5 for parallel-connecting the first battery 3 and the second battery 4 during non-execution of torque assist and releasing the parallel connection during execution of torque assist; battery condition detection means 8, 21 for detecting conditions of the second battery 4; a determination means 6 for deciding permission/prohibition of torque assist based on determination elements including the conditions of the second battery 4; and an electric power control means 6 for releasing parallel connection if torque assist is permitted to supply electric power to the second electric load group 10 only from the second battery 4. The determination means 6 prohibits torque assist if the battery condition detection means 8, 21 are not normal. |
