PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simpler method for predicting a degree of cure of a thermosetting resin than a conventional method.SOLUTION: In curing a thermosetting resin by heat from a heat source, a method predicts a degree of cure of the thermosetting resin. In the method, a preliminary experiment is carried out to obtain a relation between a temperature of the heat source and a temperature of the thermosetting resin by actual measurement, and a result thereof is used to calculate a total heat transfer coefficient. The total heat transfer coefficient U and the temperature of the heat source are substituted into a predetermined expression, and integrated by time so as to calculate a temperature of the thermosetting resin at a predetermined temperature of the heat source. The calculated temperature of the thermosetting resin is substituted into a curing rate equation unique to the thermosetting resin, and a step of calculating a degree of cure of the thermosetting resin is carried out. |
