PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for creating a Campbell diagram display screen for illustrating a vibration characteristic of an operating device, such as a rotary machine.SOLUTION: Data representing vibrational amplitude and frequency are recorded with respect to a rotational speed of the device. The data is used to create waveforms representing forward and/or reverse vibrational frequency of the device. The waveforms are sequentially used to create a spectrum line envelope in order to form a highlighted two-dimensional image showing vibrational amplitude of the device at a specific rotating speed. The spectrum line envelope is not filled or can be filled with another illustration feature for giving feelings of a lump to the envelope to highlight one color or a plurality of colors, or visibility.
