PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a rice cooker that is capable of cooking rice to be sweeter and chewier, and further, more glossy and elastic than the conventional one.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: an inner pot 30 into which rice to be cooked is put; a rice cooker body 20 having an inner-pot storage portion 20a for extractably storing the inner pot; a lid body 10 for openably/closably covering the inner-pot storage portion; a heating means 23 for heating the inner pot; a temperature sensor 24 for detecting the temperature of the inner pot; and a control means for executing the rice cooking process by controlling the heating means. A ceramic protective frame 25 is disposed at a part, facing at least the bottom of the inner pot, of the inner-pot storage portion. The control means executes the rice cooking process utilizing the heat storage properties and heat resistance properties of the protective frame. |
