PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission method of area information, with which area information can inexpensively be broadcast and transmitted, a viewer being an area inhabitant can selectively read the area information at his or her convenient time by a television monitor and the area information can securely be transmitted to the area inhabitant.SOLUTION: A transmission method of area information includes: a broadcast transmission step of caption broadcast data for performing organization work so that information in a broadcast area of a local station becomes caption broadcast data in a broadcast station including a CATV station and broadcasting and transmitting only the caption broadcast data at a time zone when the caption broadcast is not given; a text data storage step for storing the caption broadcast data broadcast/transmitted in the broadcast transmission step of caption broadcast data by text data in a recording medium with a caption broadcast data storage function of a digital caption broadcast recorder (closed caption recorder <television caption recorder>) installed on a television viewer side; and a reproduction display step for reproducing and displaying the text data stored in the digital caption broadcast recorder on a television monitor with a text data reproduction function of the digital caption broadcast recorder. |
