PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a FET switching drive circuit and a method of operation thereof which keep a gate bias voltage value independent of a varying duty of a driving voltage waveform.SOLUTION: The transformer-driven FET switching drive circuit includes a capacitor connected in series with an output side of a transformer, and at least one diode connected in parallel with the series connection of the transformer and the capacitor. Preferably, a set of diodes are connected in parallel with the series connection of the transformer and the capacitor and connected in reverse polarity to each other.
