PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial piston type hydraulic pump capable of improving lubricity and slidability at a slidably contact part between an end face of a cylinder block and a valve plate.SOLUTION: Cylinder ports 9, 10 to be communicated with cylinders 7, 8 are opened in a slidable contact surface 6A to be slidably brought into contact with the valve plate 18 of a cylinder block 6. In openings 9A, 10A of the cylinder ports 9, 10, a plurality of inside diameter side openings 9A arranged on the inside diameter side of the cylinder block 6, and a plurality of outside diameter side openings 10A arranged more on the outer side in the radial direction from the inside diameter side openings 9A are alternately arrayed in a zigzag manner in the circumferential direction. Inside diameter side oil sumps 11 each consisting of a recessed groove with a bottom, which are located between the inside diameter side openings 9A adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, and outside diameter side oil sumps 12 each consisting of a recessed groove with a bottom, which are located between the outside diameter side openings 10A adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction, are formed in the slidable contact surface 6A of the cylinder block 6. |
