PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust proximity sensor without increasing new device configuration.SOLUTION: A situation determination unit 112 determines whether a situation is clear enough to tell if an approaching object exists. When the situation determination unit 112 has determined that the situation is clear enough to tell if the approaching object exists, and if a proximity sensor 90 erroneously determines existence of the approaching object, a characteristic determination unit 113 determines that photodetection characteristics of the proximity sensor 90 has changed.
