Disclosed are a system and a method to prevent a back flow of seawater through an exhaust pipe of a vessel. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the system includes: a buffer chamber formed by being connected to an exhaust pipe of a power generator, including an outlet, through a string of a vessel, and storing seawater flowing backward through the outlet of the exhaust pipe; a drain line connected to discharge the seawater stored in the buffer chamber; and a drain pump installed in the drain line to transfer the seawater through the drain line. Therefore, the present invention is capable of saving costs and improving space utilization. |
