The purpose of the present invention is to provide an LED safety lamp with sensors and a control method thereof, enabling users to promptly recognize dangerous situations by comparing measured values of a sensor unit with danger determination standard values and outputting preset alarming signals according to the result. To achieve the purpose, the present invention comprises: a main body; a sensor unit for sensing information about dangerous elements including gases, heat, spark, installed on the main body; a control unit for comparing the information about dangerous elements sensed by the sensor unit with the preset standard values about dangerous elements to analyze the dangerous elements and outputting optical signals as predetermined lighting patterns if the sensed information about dangerous elements is higher than the standard value; and LED units, arranged on the main body, for outputting lights depending on the optical signals of the control unit. Owing to the composition, the present invention is capable of promptly recognizing a dangerous situation without being bothered by noise and performing various types of communications through various kinds of optical signals. Also, the present invention is capable of effectively warning dangers by expanding the range through the safety lamps composed of polygonal pillars.
