PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and method that facilitate transmitting access point types and/or restricted association parameters using broadcast signals.SOLUTION: The access point type and/or restricted association parameters are determined by intrinsic aspects of the access point, and extrinsic aspects, such as frequency, interval, and periodicity at the access point (702). A broadcast signal for identifying the access point is generated according to the type and/or the restricted association parameters (704). The broadcast signal for identifying the access point and the type/restricted association parameters is transmitted over a wireless network (706). |
