PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide absorbent article for reducing leakage of body fluid from the edge in the longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: Vertically long absorbent article, on which a compressed groove 7 including a pair of the first central groove 71 and a heart shaped first design groove 72 is formed on the skin-abutting face, include a liquid permeable surface sheet 2 having a skin-abutting face, an liquid impermeable rear sheet 3, and a liquid permeable absorbable body 4 allocated between the surface sheet 2 and the rear sheet 3. A low compressed area 41 which is formed by compressing the absorbable body 4 with a predetermined pressure, and a high compressed area 42 which is formed by compressing the absorbable body 4 with a higher pressure than that of the low compressed area 41 are formed in the processes of allocating the absorbable body 4 on the upper surface of the continuum of the surface sheet 2, bonding the continuum of the surface sheet 2 with the absorbable body 4, and forming a compressed groove 7 hollowing the surface of the continuum of the surface sheet 2, and in a process of forming the compressed groove 7 in sequence. |
