摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device of an internal combustion engine capable of improving fuel efficiency while attaining excellent combustion while performing catalyst temperature raising operation when starting in a cold state of the internal combustion engine having a cylinder fuel injection means for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber and an intake port fuel injection means for injecting the fuel into an intake port.SOLUTION: An ECU 61 of an engine 1 includes a cylinder fuel injection control means 71 for controlling the injection timing and an injection quantity of the fuel injected from the cylinder fuel injection means 23, an intake port fuel injection control means 85 for controlling the injection timing and the injection quantity of the fuel injected from an intake port fuel injection means 83, and a fuel injection rate control means 87 for increasing the MPI ratio RA more than the MPI ratio RA1 of an initial set value according to the water temperature W of the cooling water of the engine 1 or an elapsed time T from an operation start of the catalyst temperature raising operation.
