PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To respond to requests from a user of an image forming apparatus in a power-saving mode while minimizing an increase in costs of the image forming apparatus, and to improve operability of the user and printing efficiency.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a first control means for performing control of an image forming apparatus and a second control means for performing communication with a terminal device connected via a network, and performs control by switching from the first control means to the second control means during a power-saving mode. When receiving a request signal for communication from the terminal device during the power-saving mode, the image forming apparatus responds to the request signal by the second control means, and switches from the second control means to the first control means after the lapse of a predetermined time from the reception of the request signal. |
