PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which exhibits preferable luminous efficiency, driving voltage and driving durability that have little dependence on film thickness.SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element comprises: a substrate; a pair of electrodes consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode; and at least one organic layer disposed between the electrodes and including a light emitting layer. The at least one organic layer includes a chemical compound represented by the formula (1).
