PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation device and an estimation method, allowing the estimation of the magnification rate of the image of a region projected to an X-ray image with higher accuracy while saving trouble when taking X-ray examination radiography; and to provide a program.SOLUTION: A region size estimation device 400 estimates a size of a target region of a patient by using an X-ray image obtained on an image reception area by radiating X-rays to the patient. A distance estimation part 440 estimates a distance between the target region and the image reception area based on a body thickness of the patient. A magnification rate estimation part 450 estimates a magnification rate needed when correcting the size of the image of the target region projected on the image reception area based on the distance between the target region and the image reception area, and a distance between a focus of an X-ray tube and the image reception area. A region size correction part 460 corrects the size of the image of the target region obtained by a region size calculation part 420 by using the magnification rate obtained by the magnification rate estimation part 450. |
