PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens module that includes a conversion lens attached to a portable electronic instrument with a camera and a flash device for photographing with the conversion lens, and that is able to turn on the flash device in synchronization with photographing only for a moment during photographing with the camera.SOLUTION: A lens module has a conversion lens 4, which is attached to a smart phone 1 that has an imaging portion 2 and a portable side flash device 3 for emitting light when photographing is carried out. The lens module includes: module side LEDs 7 and 8 configured to illuminate a subject 9 when photographing is carried out using the conversion lens 4; and a light emission detecting section 5 configured to detect light emitted by the portable side flash device 3. When light emitted by the portable side flash device 3 is detected by the light emission detecting section 5, a control section 6 for the lens module causes the module side LEDs 7 and 8 to emit light only for a period corresponding to photographing carried out by the photographing section 2. |
