PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a separation membrane, in which manufacturing can be performed at low cost, and effective use of combustion ash can be performed at the same time.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a separation membrane consisting of a porous substrate of alumina or the like, and a dense layer of a zeolite crystal deposited on a surface layer of the porous substrate, uses combustion ash as a raw material that manufactures a zeolite crystal. The combustion ash can suitably use a combustion ash of fossil fuel of coal or the like in which a major component is a silica and aluminum, and deficit of silica and aluminum is supplied from other than the combustion ash when silica and aluminum necessary for manufacturing the zeolite crystal are insufficient corresponding to properties of the combustion ash. |
