PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supply gas deficiency diagnostic device for a fuel battery that eliminates the need for a complex stabilization circuit and can simplify a configuration, and also can improve determination diagnostic precision etc., associated with supply gas deficiency of a fuel battery.SOLUTION: A supply gas deficiency diagnostic device for a fuel battery according to the present invention includes an electrolyte electrode pair comprising an electrolytic anode 10 and an electrolytic cathode 11 installed on surfaces 21a, 21b of an electrolyte film 21 of MEGA 2 on the side of an anode 22 respectively, and a potential measuring electrode 12 adjoining the electrolytic cathode 11. An external power source 50 is connected to the electrolyte electrode pair, a predetermined voltage is applied to electrolyze water included in the electrolyte film 21, and the potential measuring electrode 12 directly measures the current oxidation reduction potential of hydrogen. |
