PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start control for stopping a rotating shaft at a prescribed rotation position from a state that an engine rotation speed is comparatively high, in stopping an engine.SOLUTION: An engine 1 is a reciprocal engine rotating a shaft 3 by burning a fuel supplied from each injector 32. A throttle device 7 is used to regulate rotation of the shaft 3 in stopping the engine. An ECU 50 controls the throttle device 7 so that a rotation speed detected by a rotation speed sensor 45 reaches a prescribed target rotation speed from fuel-cut by each injector 32 to stop the shaft 3 at a prescribed crank position. The ECU 50 measures a lapse time necessary for rotation by a prescribed angle from a corresponding specific crank position after expansion BDC in one cylinder 2 of which the fuel supply is finished last among the plurality of cylinders 2, as a rotation speed detected after fuel-cut, and calculates and takes the rotation speed from the lapse time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
