PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread enhancing processability and rubber hardness than conventional level while improving dispersibility of silica.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition for tire tread by blending 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component containing a modified diene rubber having a functional group containing a hetero atom in a main chain and/or a terminal, 5 to 200 pts.wt. of silica and a silane coupling agent of 1 to 20 wt.% based on the silica and an acetylene-based compound represented by the general formula (1) of 1 to 20 wt.% based on the silica.
