PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel cell that supplies oxidant gas along a plane direction from the periphery of a cathode and that prevents property degradation of the cathode.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel cell includes: a solid oxide fuel cell unit cell; an anode separator 104 that is laminated on a surface of the unit cell facing an anode 100; a cathode separator 105 that is laminated on a surface of the unit cell facing a cathode 101; a cell holder 114 that houses the unit cell in a middle portion thereof; a sealant 115 that is disposed in a gap between the anode separator 104 and an end of the unit cell and a gap between the cell holder 114 and the end of the unit cell; metal foil 116 that covers a portion of the sealant 115 that is exposed to an oxidant gas passage surrounded by the cathode separator 105, the end of the unit cell, and the cell holder 114; and a cover 117 that holds the metal foil 116. |
