The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for providing information about makeup modification which provide a position where the makeup needs to be modified and a method for modifying the makeup by analyzing an image in which a face wearing makeup is photographed. The method for providing information about makeup modification according to the present invention comprises: an image obtaining step for obtaining an image in which a face wearing makeup is photographed; a makeup analyzing step for analyzing the state of the makeup using the obtained image; and an information providing step for providing at least one piece of information among information about a position where the makeup needs to be modified, information about a makeup method to modify the makeup, and information about cosmetics to be used to modify the makeup based on the analyzed makeup state.
