The present invention relates to manhole management and, more specifically, to a system and a method for managing a set of position information of a manhole and a set of manhole information with a portable terminal and a central server by inserting an UHFID tag which is inserted into a manhole cover. A system for managing the manhole comprising an UHFID receiving unit with the UHFID tag comprises a plurality of manholes, a database, a central server, and the portable terminal. The plurality of manholes comprises the UHFID receiving unit with the UHFID tag which a unique identification code is inputted. The database stores the state information of the manhole corresponding to each unique identification code. The central server manages and controls the information of the database. The portable terminal transmits a set of update information of the manhole state to the central server by recognizing the UHFID information of each manhole. |
