PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal displacement compensation device capable of compensating without receiving influence of a measuring error according to a temperature by a sensor.SOLUTION: A main shaft 5 has a first face 53 facing one in an axial direction and a second face 54 facing the other in the axial direction. A first measuring section 101 measures a thermal displacement quantity δof the first face 53 in the axial direction including an error e1 in a measured value according to temperatures. The second measuring section 102 measures a thermal displacement quantity δof the second face 54 in the axial direction including the error e1 in the measured value according to the temperatures. A thermal displacement quantity calculating section 103 calculates an axial directional thermal displacement quantity of the main shaft 5 not including the error e1 based on the measured values δ, δof the first and second measuring sections 101, 102, and a compensating section 104 compensates movement of a machine tool based on the thermal displacement quantity δc. |
