PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of securing water repellency by a protector having a single structure as well as by a protector having a double structure.SOLUTION: A protector 4 has a two-stage structure of a large-diameter part 40 and a small-diameter part 45. The large-diameter part 40 has a cylindrical first peripheral wall 41 and a first tip wall 42. The small-diameter part 45 has a cylindrical second peripheral wall 43 connected to the first tip wall 42 and a second tip wall 44 connected to a tip side thereof. An opening part is formed in neither the first peripheral wall 41 nor the second peripheral wall 43. The first tip wall 42 has a first hollowed part 46 and a first opening part 47 opened only toward an internal surface of the first peripheral wall 41. The second tip wall 44 has a second hollowed part 48 and a second opening part 49 formed in the second hollowed part 48 and opened toward an internal surface of the second peripheral wall 43. |
