PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heliostat and a control method for the same, capable of improving collection efficiency of sunlight by correcting an error in installing the heliostat on the ground surface and an error possessed by the heliostat itself as a structure.SOLUTION: In a heliostat 1 including a control device, the control device has: a configuration for storing an azimuth error γof a supporting column 2 obtained by comparing a predetermined azimuth direction in which the supporting column 2 should be arranged, with a measured actual azimuth direction of the supporting column 2; and a configuration for storing inclination errors γ, γof a reflecting mirror 3 obtained by comparing predetermined inclinations with respect to an x axis and a y axis orthogonal in a horizontal plane in which the reflecting mirror 3 should be arranged, with measured, actual inclinations of the reflecting mirror 3. When the heliostat 1 tracks the sun, the control device controls the heliostat 1 by correcting a reference command value &thetas;1 for controlling the heliostat 1 while using the azimuth error γand the inclination errors γ, γas parameters and by outputting the corrected reference command value &thetas;1 as an actual command value &thetas;2. |
