PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel storage method and storage container, in which a plurality of fuel rods including sound fuel rods and leaking fuel rods can be safely handled.SOLUTION: The fuel storage method includes: a fuel rod soundness discrimination step S5 for discriminating whether or not a plurality of fuel rods are sound and selecting sound fuel rods and leaking fuel rods which are not sound; and a sound fuel rod storage step S6 and a leaking fuel rod storage step S7 for storing the sound fuel rods in a sound fuel rod storage container and storing the leaking fuel rods in a leaking fuel rod storage container so as to separately store the sound fuel rods and the leaking fuel rods. |
