<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article having a complicated shape without needing trimming by causing a heating substrate to flow while keeping isotropy in heating and molding of an isotropic fiber-reinforced thermoplastic prepreg. <P>SOLUTION: A random mat composed of reinforcing fibers having a fiber length of more than 10 mm and 100 mm or less and a thermoplastic resin, the reinforcing fibers being oriented substantially in a two-dimensional random manner, has a degree of plane orientation of 90% or more when it is molded in a sheet shape as a thermoplastic isotropic prepreg.
