The method involves converting enrichment information (8) e.g. text information, to enrich contents of an initial audio or audio-visual message (10) and processing information (9) associated with the enrichment information into a multi-media insertion message (11). The insertion message is inserted in audio or visual content of the initial message so as to create an enriched message (12), and the enriched message is transmitted from a transmission device (2) to a reception device (3) by a communication system (1). The processing information is coded according to an audio or visual code.
