<p>An overhead transport vehicle comprises a travelling unit 210, a conveying unit 220, and a swing inhibiting member 270. The travelling unit 210 is configured to travel on a rail 100. The conveying unit 220 is configured to move and convey an article 400. The swing inhibiting member 270 is configured to move from a pushing position to a retracting position and vice versa. The swing inhibiting member includes a pushing member 273. first and second lever members 271 and 272, and a biasing member 274. The pushing member 273 is configured to push the side surface of the article 400. The lever members 271, 272 support the pushing member 273 at the first end side. The second end side of the lever members 271, 272 is pivotally supported by the conveying unit. The biasing member 274 is configured to bias the pushing member 273 toward the article. The pushing member 273 includes a main body member 750, slide members 731 and 732, and elastic bodies 761 and 762. The main body member 750 is pivotally supported by the lever members 271, 272. The slide members 731, 732 are slidably supported by the main body member 750.
