PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress elution of impurities when performing sealing treatment on an anodic oxidation coating formed on aluminum or aluminum alloy, and to perform the sealing treatment only near pore surfaces in a short time and in an efficient manner.SOLUTION: In a sealing treatment method for aluminum or aluminum alloy, sealing treatment on pore surfaces is performed in a sulfuric acid-containing treatment liquid to the aluminum or aluminum alloy on which pores are formed by anodic oxidation treatment, and the sealing treatment liquid has oxidation-reduction potential +1.5 to +3.5 V. The oxidation-reduction potential of the treatment liquid is controlled to +1.5 to +3.5 V, preferably by circulating the sulfuric acid-containing treatment liquid in a treatment tank 1 to an electrolysis cell 9, and containing a persulfuric acid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
