PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot system capable of operating a robot by a simple operation method.SOLUTION: A robot (2) includes: a distance sensor (2d) measuring the distance to a target object (9); a detection part (2e) detecting a flat surface (D1) parallel to an operation direction in the target object and a normal direction (D2) of the flat surface on the basis of a distance point group measured by the distance sensor; and a marker position posture calculation part (2f) calculating the position and the posture of the flat surface marker along the flat surface (D1) parallel to the detected operation direction and the normal direction (D2) of the flat surface.
